Privacy Policy

Scorepion ("Scorepion", "we", "us") is a free football score-prediction game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to run the game:

Account information — your username, email address, and an optional avatar, provided when you create an account.
Gameplay data — your match predictions and selections, favorite leagues, points, streaks, achievements, and leaderboard rank.
Notification token — if you enable push notifications, a device push token and platform (iOS/Android) so we can send match reminders and game updates.
Basic technical data — device type and operating-system version, and standard server access logs (IP address and user-agent) generated when your app talks to our servers. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting, are not sold, and are not used to build advertising profiles.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. The app requests only the Internet and Vibrate (haptics) permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: create and secure your account; run competitions and calculate leaderboard standings; settle your predictions against official match results; personalize your experience (e.g., favorite leagues); send match reminders and game updates if you've enabled notifications; and detect and prevent abuse, cheating, and fraud. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. How Authentication Works

Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Your password is created, stored, and verified by Firebase — we never see or store it. We receive only your account identifier and email address.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate Scorepion:

Google Firebase — authentication and push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
API-Football — our source for fixtures, scores, and standings. We fetch match data from them; we do not send them any of your personal information.
Error diagnostics — if enabled, we use a crash-reporting service to capture anonymized technical error reports so we can fix bugs.
Hosting — our application data is stored on our own server infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Scorepion and its users.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your authentication identity and all associated records — predictions, group memberships, push tokens, daily packs, boosts, achievements, and your profile. Some minimal records may be retained briefly where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or contact us at support@scorepion.fans and we'll respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including TLS encryption for all data in transit between the app and our servers, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@scorepion.fans rather than disclosing it publicly.

8. Children's Privacy

Scorepion is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account and its data promptly.

9. International Users

Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. By using Scorepion, you consent to this transfer and processing.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. For material changes we'll provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use of Scorepion after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
